Our first public meeting took place at Tullynessle Hall on 12th June 2024 at 7pm.
Our Chairperson Chris Hamlet and member CaSHWIG member Liam Smyth presented a summary of the information that the group had been able to gather since it's inception. They outlined the facts that were available about the proposed development, overlaid by research on the Hill of Fare planning application and also revealed that new information had been recently gathered from community councils that suggested a scaling back of the original development.
There was over 50 people in the room who engaged in discussion and Q&A, posted their thoughts on the issues as they see them on feedback boards and who were able to view scale photographs of the development taken from vantage points around the local area.
We very much appreciate the contribution of all that took part. If you have not already signed up to receive our newsletter and updates, please do so by submitting your email address in the 'Contact Us' section.
Please join us at our next series of public meetings taking place at Clatt on 16th July and Kennethmont on 24th July, both starting at 7pm.

A BBC News video clip of a 65m turbine blade being transported. The blade in the clip is only 65m, which is 15m shorter than those currently in scope for the Correen Hills Windfarm. Only time and a formal application from the developers will reveal the actual size being planned for the Correen and Suie Hills development, but this video reveals the scale of the transport convoy required for the move. Road realignment is inevitable, power and communication lines are often removed and traffic diversions are certain to operate to provide the access required.
